A lawyer's files are confidential. jurispraxis.ai stores them in the European Union, sends the AI models only the question and the passages the answer needs, and does not use your content to train AI models.
Where your data is
- Your uploads and chats are stored in the European Union, in Paris.
- Scaleway SAS, a French company, hosts the app on servers in Paris.
- The team runs the service from Georgia. Your data stays stored in the European Union. When we reach it from Georgia to operate or support the service, that access has the same protection as the service itself.
What the AI models receive
- To answer a question, jurispraxis.ai sends the question and the relevant passages to AI models, through Requesty’s gateway in the European Union.
- Before any text reaches a model, jurispraxis.ai replaces the names of people and companies, the identifiers, the phone numbers and the addresses that it recognises with labels. The model sees the labels. You see the names. What is hidden and how to check it: What the model sees.
- We do not use your content to train AI models.
Your organization decides
The documents you upload and the questions you ask about your matters belong to your organization. For that content your organization is the controller, and we process it only on its instructions, under our data processing agreement.
A data processing agreement and the full list of the providers that process your content, with their countries, come with every firm subscription. You can have both before you sign: write to hello@jurispraxis.ai.
Who can see what
- A chat, a project, a file and a folder belong to one organization. A member of another organization cannot open them.
- The Owner and the Administrator of an organization always have access to its chats, projects and files.
- A new project, a new chat outside a project and a new folder are open only to the person who made them and to the owner and administrators. A new chat in a project follows the project, and a new file follows its folder.
- For each of them you choose who else has access: The members you pick or Everyone in the organization. A chat can also Follow the project, and a file can Follow the folder.
- A file you attach to a chat can be read in that chat by everyone who has access to the chat. The rest of your library stays closed to them.
See Access to chats and projects, Access to your uploaded documents and Team: members, roles and invitations.
Signing in
- An account needs a confirmed email address.
- A password has at least 8 characters. See Changing your password.
- Two-factor authentication asks for a code when you sign in, from an authenticator app or from your email. See Two-factor authentication.
- The app keeps you signed in for seven days with a session cookie.
- Each request to the app records your IP address, your browser’s user agent, your user id and your organization id. We use these records to keep the service secure, and they are deleted after 30 days.
Deleting your data
- A chat. Delete the chat deletes, for good, the chat and every message, document, column and result in it.
- A file. In Uploads, Delete removes the file for good.
- Your uploads and chats stay until you delete them, or until your organization’s account ends.
- Your account. To delete your account, write to support@jurispraxis.ai. We delete it within one month.
- Your organization. Before an organization’s account ends, you can download your files and export your chats. After it ends, we delete your content within 30 days.
Questions about security
Write to support@jurispraxis.ai with a question about security, or if you think someone else has reached your account. To see, correct or delete your data, one message to hello@jurispraxis.ai is enough, and we act on it within one month.
