These terms are a contract between your organisation and Aleksei Zhavoronkov (“we”). They apply when you make an account or use the app.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Freemius. Freemius is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Freemius’s buyer terms at https://product.freemius.com/42832/jurispraxisai/legal/terms-of-sale/ govern the purchase: the price, the payment, the invoice and the refund. These terms govern the use of the service.
For professional use only
jurispraxis.ai is for lawyers, legal staff and organisations that act in the course of their trade or profession. When you accept these terms, you confirm that you act for such an organisation, or for yourself as a professional.
Your account
Give correct details and keep your password and sign-in codes secret. An account is for one person. The owner of an organisation decides who its members are and what they can see, and is responsible for their use of the service.
What the service does, and what it does not
jurispraxis.ai is an AI workspace for legal research and drafting. It works with public case law and legislation and with the documents your organisation uploads.
An answer can be wrong or incomplete, and a source can be missing from our collection. Check every answer against its sources before you rely on it. jurispraxis.ai gives no legal advice. You remain responsible for your work and for the advice you give your clients.
Your content
What you upload and write stays yours. You give us the right to process it only to provide the service to you. We do not use it to train AI models.
Where your content holds personal data, we process it as your processor under our data processing agreement, which forms part of these terms. You make sure you may upload what you upload. Your professional duty of confidentiality stays yours; our duties to protect your content are in the data processing agreement.
Our software
The software, the design and the brand of jurispraxis.ai belong to us or our licensors. These terms give your organisation the right to use the service while its account exists, and no other right to them.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service against the law, for fraud, or against the rights of others, such as their intellectual property. Do not try to break its security, test its limits with automated traffic, copy its collections in bulk, resell access to it, share accounts or take the software apart.
Credits and plans
Work in the app costs credits. The app shows the credits your organisation has left and what each piece of work used. The plans, the credits they include and the price of extra credits are shown at https://jurispraxis.ai/pricing and in the app. Credits have no cash value.
A subscription renews each period until you cancel it. When you cancel, the plan stays until the end of the period you paid for. Refunds follow our refund policy at https://jurispraxis.ai/refunds.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the service available, but we cannot promise that it never stops or that it is free of errors. We may change or remove features. When a change takes away something your organisation pays for, we tell you at least 30 days before.
Public sources
Case law and legislation come from official public sources, under their own terms of reuse. We do not promise that our collection holds every decision or every version of a text.
Liability
We are not liable for indirect loss, lost profit, lost data you could have kept elsewhere, or loss that comes from relying on an answer without checking its sources.
Our total liability is limited to what your organisation paid for the service in the twelve months before the event that caused the loss.
These limits do not apply to loss we cause on purpose or by gross negligence, or where the law does not allow a limit.
Suspension and ending
You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your organisation’s account. We can suspend or end an account after a serious breach of these terms, when a payment stays unpaid, or when we see a risk of fraud, and we tell you why.
Before an account ends, you can export your chats and drafts and the text of your files. After it ends, we delete your content within 30 days.
Changes to these terms
We tell you about a material change at least 30 days before it applies. If you do not agree, you can end the contract before that date.
Law and courts
The law of Georgia governs these terms. The courts of Georgia decide disputes.
